Revitalization Plan has had a budget of 2.4 million euros, of which the Government of Spain has contributed 970,000 euros
The government delegate in the Region of Murcia, Rafael González Tovar, has participated in the conference tonight to promote Tourism Promotion Plan of the Northeast to the heads of major travel agencies, tourism offices, schools and tourism entrepreneurs sector in the Region of Murcia.
Tovar Gonzalez recalled that the Tourism Promotion Plan of the Northeast is the result of the agreement signed in June 2004 by the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade, the Ministry of Tourism of the Autonomous Community, Commonwealth Travel Services of the Northeast in Abanilla representation, Fortuna, Jumilla and Yecla and Regional Employers' Federation of Hotel de Murcia (HOSTEMUR).
This plan had a budget of 2,160,000 euros financed jointly by the three governments and distributed over three installments between 2005 and 2007.
In addition, the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade has additionally invested 249,865 euros last year for the promotion and marketing of this Plan.
Tovar Gonzalez stressed that the Plan is a good example of the tourism model that the Government of Spain is implementing.
