The Minister of Universities and Research Company, Salvador Marín, today held a working meeting with the mayor of Abanilla, Fernando Molina, which addressed several issues concerning the development of the town, and visited businesses and Cementos Extrucolor Cross.
Marin used the meeting to encourage companies to continue making use of aid granted by the Department, listed in the Industrial Plan, to modernize and improve their competitiveness based on R + D + i.
In fact, the two companies have been visited concessional aid managed by the Ministry, through the Instituto de Fomento (Info), valued approximately 1,250,000 euros.
With these grants, "the regional government has contributed to the modernization, expansion and improvement of their production processes, making them more competitive in the global marketplace," said Marin.
Currently, universities and Research has opened several lines of subsidy as those contained in Financing Info 2009, or for the modernization of SMEs and energy savings of the Directorate General of Industry, Energy and Mines, "all of which are covered in the roadmap for regional development is the Industrial Plan. "
The counselor encouraged both companies to open new international markets and make use of the aid that provides the info to participate in trade missions in strategic markets.

Extrucolor is a group company Policolor that with the aid managed by the regional administration and entrepreneurship, has a center dedicated to the extrusion of high-tech aluminum with a press of 1,800 tons a ship located at 5,000 meters square in the town of Abanilla.
For its part, Cementos la Cruz, the other company visited by the director, born in 2000 in order to manufacture and produce high quality cement.
The factory has undergone several expansions and is characterized by its commitment to excellence and respect for the environment, with certification of its system of quality management and environmental management system as well as certificates of products shipped bulk.
