The Governing Council has approved the procurement of works of improvement and refurbishment of the MU-412 road and the construction of a new bridge over the river Chícamo in the municipality of Abanilla.
The performance, gifted with a total of 4,579,652 euros, includes the widening and pavement strengthening of the MU-412, from Abanilla variant to its intersection with the RM-423, and the elimination of small radius curves that cause problems for road traffic.
The project also includes construction of a new two-way bridge traffic, which will prevent the effect of 'bottleneck' that occurs in the present, which prevents simultaneous movement in both directions, to have a single lane.
The new bridge will have two lanes of 3.5 meters each and trails sidewalks six feet wide.
