Maria Dolores Saurin, spokesman for the PSOE in the City of Abanilla, reported that on 12 December his group in calling for an extraordinary plenary session and urgent to deal with the Decree-Law 9 / 2008 of 28 November laying create a Local Investment Fund and Special State Fund for the Revitalisation of the Economy and Employment.
The Socialist Group in calling for urgent plenary that "given the emergency nature of the measure and the amount that corresponds to our town, valued at 1,162,459 euros, with the intention" to collaborate on projects and works to develop in our municipality. "
Saurin reported, however, that "the People's Party has no intention of having the Socialist Party as the urgent extraordinary plenary session will mark the time when it is, the January 19, 2009, according to information of the consistory."
Therefore, the socialist municipal group Abanilla filed an extension in which the PSOE calls for:
1 .- The approval body is the Plenary of the Corporation and not the Local Government Board, to better enrich the discussion of the works to recruit and get the best proposals for Abanilla.
2 .- staff hired by the council or the successful tenderers for the works for these actions are resident in the municipality of Abanilla, registered as unemployed with the employment office in Fortuna, which corresponds to Abanilla.
3 .- public works contracts, have great coverage and publicity, so they can be accessible to all concerned in time, form and conditions, knowing that this will result in the economic cost of projects.
4 .- To take into account the draft Municipal Socialist Group, whose members are willing to so many meetings, suggestions and exchange of views necessary to perform together, with the sole aim of reaching consensus and agreement for the highest social returns the benefit of the municipality and its neighbors, the purpose for which it was created this Decree-Law 9 / 2008 of the Local Investment Fund.
The Municipal Socialist Abanilla feels that given the great importance of the decree-law, all municipal activities should be approved and discussed in plenary, where it would ensure transparency and management, or at least give the opportunity for municipalities that are in the opposition to be sharers and present our projects according to our criteria for priorities.
