The Miguel Hernández University of Elche, the kaleidoscope and the city of Abanilla, given today the go-ahead to the Second edition of the Air Show, an educational project aimed at young people from 12 to 18 years learn how to build drones with social order.
The project, which this year has a budget of 50,000 euros, besides participating students of the Institute of Abanilla, about 2500 students from over 50 schools in the provinces of Alicante, Valencia and Castellon.
The Air Show is a proposal that seeks to promote technological empowerment of young students of ESO and Bachiller by building a drone and reflection on technology together as a social tool of human activity.
It also seeks to imagine the future overhead by extending knowledge and skills in a learning space and creating inclusive and cooperative teen.
The first stage of the project is the training of about 100 teachers enrolled.
Upon completion of the training process for teachers involved, they are responsible for guiding students in developing a project that begins with a historical review of models of the relationships between technology and society.
It will continue with an introduction to the theory of flight and finally focus on the design and construction of a drone, which shall perform activities of common benefit to the local environment.
In closing, in mid April 2016 to all participating centers will convene to present their work at the Air Show, an event that will take place in the Sports Pavilion of the Miguel Hernández University of Elche.
Here participants will design and build the stands where participants show the rest of the social and artistic merits of their flying machines.
The design, structure and implementation of the Air Fair is the responsibility of the company's disclosure specializing in science and innovation The kaleidoscope has been possible thanks to the collaboration of Lot and FlĂ´ne project Amoros, who inspired this project.
In developing training courses he has also participated the MUDIC Foundation.
In this second edition of the project, the towns of Abanilla, Albatera, Almoradi, Banyeres de Mariola, Benidorm, BenigĂ nim, Benissa, Biar, Callosa d'en Sarria, Canals, Crevillente, Denia, Dolores, El Campello, Gata de Gorgos involved, Guardamar del Segura, Ibi, Jávea, L'Olleria, Monforte del Cid, Muro de Alcoy, Mutxamel, Ondara, Onil, Pedreguer, Petrer, San Fulgencio, San Vicente del Raspeig, San Juan de Alicante, Sax, Salinas and Villarreal, that from their respective departments of education have supported it, thereby strengthening its commitment to encourage and promote scientific and technical knowledge among young people.
