The Minister of Development, Public Works and Planning, Francisco Barnabas, and the mayor of Abanilla, Fernando Molina, today visited the works carried out on the RM-A30 road road that runs along the eastern edge of the region, the municipality of Abanilla, which connects the village of El Canton with the RM-410 and RM-422 road.
Bernabe said that "the section between the Canton and the RM-410 road was already subject to improvement on previous years, but which runs from the village to the north is narrow and not in good condition, so we have undertaken the work of improving the 2.5 kilometer stretch from El Canton at the road junction of the Algueña ".
"It is a very necessary work, which involves an investment of 282,000 euros, and not only for reasons of road safety, but because the mobility of residents of the area is facilitated, improving communication in the eastern part of the region with the border province of Alicante ".
The works, awarded last April and whose completion is scheduled for August, consist platform widening to 7 meters, so as to have two lanes of 3 meters and two shoulders of 0.50 meters, and in rebuilding the firm with asphalt on artificial gravel on a stretch of 2.3 kilometers.
The work also includes improving the drainage and signage and markings.
