The regional government has approved the recruitment and project expenditure for the construction of a storm tank and sewage pretreatment Abanilla, with an investment of 2.1 million euros, financed by 80 percent by the Cohesion Fund European Union.
The project involves the construction of a water tank divided into three channels, with a capacity of 1400 cubic meters of water from the collector that reaches the treatment plant, and collect the first water washing by rain streets.
This project also includes a new pretreatment system will replace the current one.
The stored water will be utilized, once treated, in the local irrigation.
This work is included in the General Plan of cleansing and purifying of the Region of Murcia, which has led the planning and coordination of the actions of sanitation and treatment of the whole region.
The Murcia region recovers more than 100 cubic hectometers applying sewage water treatment systems that make wastewater flow rates and health as suitable for use in regional irrigation.
