The Popular Party deputy José Miguel Luengo today defended "diligence" of the regional government, particularly the Ministry of Presidecia, in the implementation of actions aimed at solving the problems related to Weir Abanilla.
The MP stressed the need to restore the Site of Community Importance (SCI) Sierra de Abanilla as a prerequisite for obtaining the environmental clearance Mercantile, for which, as explained, "must meet a demanding recovery project saw and ensure compensation for all damages caused to the environment in the area. "
Luengo moved also the concern of his parliamentary group and the regional government of continued employment in the area and said that "as environmental protection is important as maintaining jobs for all these people."
The popular MP has asked the Minister of the Presidency, Manuel Campos, continue working to address in an effective way the problem of municipal solid waste, "because it is assuming real headaches to various municipal corporations in the Region of Murcia."
