The Minister of Public Works and Planning, José Ballesta, accompanied by the mayor of Abanilla, Fernando Molina, today inaugurated the work that the regional government has carried out in the town and that include improving the road between the population the hamlet of Mahoya (RM-412) and the construction of a new bridge over the river Chícamo.

The new bridge has eight spans of 30 meters and a total length of 255 meters, two lanes of 3.5 meters wide plus-foot sidewalks on both sides "to ensure the safety of pedestrians in the area," said the counselor.
Improved road
Improvement works of the road consisted of an extension of the platform to 11 feet wide, with two lanes of 3.5 meters, 1.5 meter shoulders and 0.5 meter shoulders.
