In yesterday's full day January 17, 2011, presented the motion independents CHANGE polling stations, with the following reasoning and text:
On February 6, 2008, submitted to the Government Delegation two letters expressing my disagreement on two issues which I consider a minor grievance for political parties which are submitted to the elections, arguing that the popular party has the advantage over others, one for changing the polling stations and the other for the appointment of government representatives in elections.
About 15 years ago that the four polling stations operating in the urban case Abanilla, moved to Santa Cruz for college done some work on the premises where they were located at the source.
Although the move was temporary, has been seen that there has been, while since then the four polling stations in the same place.
My opinion is that the physical location of the four tables together is not the most appropriate because:
a) The school is located in the southern part of town, well away from the north and northeast of the town, with many people who do not vote because of displacement.
b) Being the four tables together in classrooms that are at the same school corridor leads to confusion, misunderstanding and some disarray by the many voices that are produced at a time.
c) On occasion it has happened that people have generated incivility sad events with insults and threats citing the mass.
d) The College of Education Santa Cruz is a day of elections, an electoral college, as we all know, but the fact that the center's director, Fernando Molina Parra Abanilla is Mayor, his wife is a teacher in the same and also Secretary General of the Popular Party, and that some teachers leave their positions or their husbands are in the municipal elections, becoming the school and the office of director in a private preserve, and a refuge where other assets are strangers .
e) And finally if neither a nor b, or c, d or convince you, just ask him to honor his word, Mr. Molina Parra, and I have no doubt that the has, to comply with it because in 1994 as recorded in the minutes, you said "after completing the work, the tables would return to their place of origin", so keep your word and then leave everything as it was.
For this reason and in order to prevent recurrence of such problems and election day elapses in peace, harmony and equal conditions for all political parties, is as tabled this motion, to be carried out SEPARATION OF polling stations, and distributed in other places such as the municipal hall, local music school and the Commendation, for polling day elapses more smoothly, without much concentration of people, approach and facilitate the rise to voters, to avoid overcrowding and that all political parties are comfortable, on an equal footing and provide increased value to democratic practice in Abanilla, hereby ask all the votes in this Chamber.
Our joy in a well, some doubted the Mayor and his government team, his answer without hesitation firm and voted against this request, so that nothing will change, will continue through the corridor to the fate of our table and more surprising is that no Superior Agency take action on the matter, here we are left to the mercy of our fate and the relentless struggle to restore dignity to a people who so richly deserves and so take away some of the characters.
