The head of the Environment of the Socialist parliamentary group, Jesus Lopez claims that since last March, which presented a series of initiatives in the Regional Assembly relating to the landfill on the Serratilla in Abanilla, the Ministry of Agriculture and Water has not responded to despite the deadline.
At the same, the deputy tried to clarify the status of the landfill, after a resolution of April 2007 the Directorate General for Environmental Quality, urging the closure of the vessels 1 and 2 thereof.
Specifically asked about "the actual time the activity had been suspended solid waste landfill" at this landfill.
The question was meant to clarify whether it had acted on the closure decision and the law had been restored since the March 10, 2010, the Directorate General of Planning, Evaluation and Environmental Control issued the notice of resolution of the Integrated Environmental Authorization the landfill.
In the same sense was of interest to know whether they had taken the environmental restoration of sites occupied by the two vessels, as established by resolution 2007, which were closed by them, to which there has been no response.
The resolution also sought to avoid closing the discharge of waste from other regions, and the advent of organic materials to landfill managers from other communities.
"We do not know, therefore, if this important subject has been controlled by the Ministry of Agriculture and Water, as she demanded."
Lopez added that both the 2010 authorization for the opening of the landfill, as in the environmental assessment procedure, a resolution urging the end of 2007, must be justified measures to ensure the legality of the landfill.
However, "the silence of the regional government and the breach of House rules do little to dispel the doubts about the performance of the regional administration with regard to it."
