The president of the Community, Fernando Lopez Miras, met today at the Palacio de San Esteban with the mayor of Abanilla, Ezequiel Alonso, with whom he addressed some of the most important demands of the municipality regarding improvements in educational infrastructure and roads, mainly.
In terms of road infrastructure, the mayor of Abanilla transferred to the president the need to build a pedestrian path between the urban area of ​​Abanilla and the hamlet of Mahoya.
López Miras informed the mayor that the construction project has already been drawn up based on the technical report presented by the City Council and the bidding process for the work has begun, which could start in September.
They also analyzed the needs of Abanilla in terms of health infrastructure, and some improvements that must be undertaken in schools in the municipality.
In addition, the mayor of Abanilla requested institutional collaboration to achieve the declaration of National Tourist Interest of the Feasts of the Most Holy and Vera Cruz, Moors and Christians of Abanilla, a support that the regional government has expressed on several occasions.
