The Director General of Local Administration, Diego Pardo, met today with the mayor of Abanilla, Ezequiel Gaona, to take stock, among other matters, of the actions of the Plan Dynamizing Works and Municipal Services 2016, as well as the application of the Funds that the Community has allocated to the municipality.
Among the works financed by the 2016 Regional Plan of Action for the Dynamization of Works and Municipal Services, there are different accesses to public facilities, amounting to about 35,000 euros, of which the Community contributes more than 31,000.
The aforementioned plan also includes paving in the hamlet of Mahoya, with a cost of 31,000 euros, of which the Community contributes more than 28,000, and the repair of sidewalks in Barinas and Macisvenda, for almost 43,000 euros, with an autonomous contribution Of more than 36,000 euros.
"This means that, through the Plan, the Community contributes with an amount close to 100,000 euros to the local government to carry out works very necessary for the residents of Abanilla that otherwise could not carry out," he said. the general director.
Diego Pardo explained that "we have also discussed the possible works and services that will be addressed through the 2017 Plan which, as a novelty, has a 20 percent increase over the previous year, which means that 6 million euros For actions in the 41 municipalities of less than 50,000 inhabitants ".
The Director General of Local Government stressed that "projects that are presented to the Community as eligible for funding, for which there is a deadline until April 12, should be submitted to a process of citizen participation, as the regional government intends To involve the citizen in the tasks of government and in the decision-making about the actions that concern them directly ".
The Community, through the Ministry of Presidency, also financed with almost 70,000 euros various infrastructure works in the districts of Barinas and El Cantón with funds from the Works and Services Plan 2015.
