The Minister of Water, Agriculture and Environment, Adela Martinez-Cacho, said today in Abanilla that his department will work with the Community of Irrigators El Porvenir to put up the remote management of their irrigation systems, "as it is a basic tool and essential to have an efficient control of resources, always scarce in the Segura basin ".
The Minister was held a working meeting with representatives of this community to "see first hand the needs and modernization projects they want to undertake in collaboration with the regional government," he said.
Counseling is assessing the project that the community of irrigators presented for a grant for the modernization and optimization of resources through various actions, whose project is 3.3 million euros.
The Community of Irrigators El Porvenir has a total of 1,200 villagers and 1,850 hectares of crops.
The average annual water resources used for its production is obtained from desalination of wells, the transfer and debugging.
