The Ministry of Public Works and Infrastructure, through the Directorate General of Highways, has completed the repair of a bridge over the Rambla del Zurca River in the RM-410 road, which links the abanillera village of Barinas with the limit in the province of Alicante.
The Director of Roads, Jose Antonio Fernandez, accompanied by the mayor of Abanilla, Ezequiel Alonso, today visited the site to check the status of the bridge after the intervention of technical equipment for road maintenance and has had a cost of 23,707 euros.
Fernandez explained that the infrastructure "had a mismatch in the foundation of the center stack of the old bridge, caused by tows of the rains in the area and demanded urgent action for solving deficiency".
The work consisted filled with cyclopean concrete, mass concrete reinforcement, construction of a masonry wall to protect the foundations downstream and filling honeycombs with stone and concrete.
The CEO also visited the improvement works of the firm of RM-A21 road, which connects the hamlet of Mahoya with Los Baños de Fortuna, in the stretch between kilometers 0.8 and 1.8 of the municipality of Abanilla.
It has carried out the necessary repair potholes detected, in order to replenish the surface smooth, waterproof and rolling structural support, increasing the security treatment.
The amount of this action amounts to 23,880 euros.
Works in Fortuna
On the other hand, the general director of Roads, Jose Antonio Fernandez Lladó, and the mayor of Fortuna, Jose Enrique Gil, visited the works of repainting that have been made in crossing Fortuna (T-423).
Fernández Lladó explained that "the heavy traffic that is recorded in the environment to the crossing from certain urban areas, rapidly wears road markings, which imposes a duty to his repainted periodically to maintain an adequate level of road safety".
The Highways Agency has repainted road markings Fortuna cruise through the application of reflective white paint, both zebra crossings, crosswalks, symbols, central axis and side lines.
The cost of this work has been almost 9,000 euros.
