The Socialist deputy expressed concern about the damage caused by these facilities, "not only environmental, but also to the health of residents of the municipality of Abanilla."
She spoke of the data provided by the socialist mayor of Abanilla, Ezequiel Alonso, who says that in this municipality is very high incidence of cancer, well above the regional average in relation to its population.
The Socialist parliamentary group has requested information on the Regional Assembly to know if it exists in the Ministry of Health some kind of comparative study on cancer diagnoses in the different municipalities in the region, as well as the number of diagnoses disaggregated by municipalities since 2008.
The deputy recalled that the landfill Abanilla have thrown tons of garbage of all kinds, including remnants of hospital equipment.
"While this was taking place, the institutions governed by the Popular Party, which looked the other way, were giving coverage to the owner of the company, who is on trial for allegedly being involved in the Brugal operation, a web of corruption on crimes bribery, extortion and influence peddling in awarding public contracts in contests management services garbage collection.

"We want to know if it is true that these residues are moving to sewage treatment plants (EDAR) in the region and especially what is taking control by the Ministry on them and where they are moving such sludge".
Yolanda Fernandez was also interested in whether the treated water is being used for agricultural irrigation and if it is being watchful with these practices.
He asked to what these wastes are carried specialized landfills.
"We want to get to the bottom and all criminal and political responsibilities of those responsible for this environmental attack was purged" he demanded.
