It has been 25 years since that November 20, 1994 in which the Band offered the first concert of Santa Cecilia in Abanilla.

Another year, the Musical Union "Santa Cruz" and its School of Music "Pascual Lozano" have prepared several activities to celebrate the patron saint of Music in our municipality.

Throughout October and November and to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the association, a bookmark has been given to students, parents, partners and collaborators.

On Saturday, November 16, a Coexistence Day was held in Busot and Jijona (Alicante) with the collaboration of HE.

Attendees visited the Museum of Ethnic Music and Canelobre Caves in Busot and the Nougat Museum in Jijona.

From Monday 18 to Friday 22 November, at the School of Music, the traditional contest and exhibition of musical stories and musical drawing is being held.

On Saturday, November 23 will take place the Indoor Soccer Tournament ending with a snack for the participants and delivery of diplomas.

Finally, on Sunday, November 24, the Music Band will perform a parade welcoming the new musicians that will be incorporated from their respective homes and will participate in the Mass in honor of Santa Cecilia.

This act will also involve the students of the School of Music with readings and songs.

At the end, the band will perform pasodobles in the Plaza de la Constitución.

Shortly after, the traditional brotherhood meal will be held.

This year of celebrating the 25th anniversary of the musical association, in addition to the usual performances, auditions and concerts, a concert has been offered at the "Víctor Villegas" Auditorium in Murcia, interviews in press and radio to our director, participation in the XVI Festival of Music Bands "Villa de Blanca", organization of the VIII Festival of Music Bands "Villa de Abanilla" and the traditional summer concert, which reminded the founders of the Musical Union "Santa Cruz" and Pascual Lozano , first director and teacher of the School and Music Band, continuing the educational and musical activity of the previous band of the town, the "Abanillense Musical Grouping." In short, an unforgettable and exciting 2019 year in which it was again revealed that the Musical Union "Santa Cruz" is more than music.
