Raúl Guevara and Mar Martínez, from the Rajaos Runners de Alcantarilla team, were announced yesterday as winners of the XXIII Race Rise to La Santa;
in which 198 athletes participated.
The XXIII Race to the Santa, organized by the Department of Sports and with the collaboration of the Athletics Federation of the Region, is one of the great popular classics of the Region, hosting the 15th round of the Popular Racing Circuit Murcia Running Challenge 2018/19.
In one of the toughest and most beautiful frames of the Running calendar, 198 registered participants met, of those who reached goal 191, making the 7.33 kilometers that separate the Plaza de la Constitución and the hermitage of Santa Eulalia.
The fastest to reach the goal was again the Rajaos Runners Sewer Raul Guevara athlete, winner in master 40 with a time of 28:24.
Second in the general classification and occupying the same position in Master 40, Francisco Roberto Castellón, from CT Táder Molina, finished in 29:10;
and closing the absolute podium and being 3 ° Master 40 Gonzalo Cuadrado, stopping the clock at 29:22.
For the female side, the athlete Rajaos Runners Alcantarilla, Mar Gómez, also revalidated the female triumph, being also 1st Master 45 with a time of 35:08, ahead of the 1st Senior Saray Paredes, CD Runtritón Cartagena, in 36:20
Third in goal and 1st F40 finished the athlete of the CA Tragamillas Orihuela Encarni Abellán, completing the distance in 39:17.
They received a trophy, a sports equipment voucher from "Atmósfera Sport", and a bottle of wine donated by Agrotaw, the first three male and female general classified.
The first three of each category received a trophy and a box of fruit donated by Agrorizao.
In addition, a trophy was awarded to the blind participant Roberto Clemente López, and trophy and vouchers to enjoy a free month at the "Centro Move", vouchers for car cleaning by the company "Tire El Ceña", and vouchers to enjoy a free month in any activity offered by the Department of Sports to the first ten male and female stores.
