The Environment area of ​​IU-Greens today welcomed the request of the European Commission (EC) for the closure and reclamation of the landfill Proambiente company, located in the municipalities of Abanilla and Orihuela.

"The development of the PP model was based on policies that have dominated the private interests against the public interest and citizens residing in nearby areas where the landfill is located," added Fernandez.
It has also requested that the new Strategic Plan Waste Murcia, whose 2020, the Autonomous Community instrument necessary to comply with European regulations, as currently measures are not being met.
In this regard, he recalled that landfills in the Region of Murcia, which are the Cañada Hermosa, under the city of Murcia, and the Ulea, owned by the Autonomous Community, are 40 points below the objectives of the legislation European.
