Gines Pagán Lajara, born in Abanilla in 1944, has spent much of his life in neighboring Fortuna, exercising his pastoral work in the hamlet of La Garapacha since 1986. Ginés studied at the San Fulgencio Seminary in Murcia and completed his training in Theology And Sociology at the Gregorian University of Rome.
In Spain as well as pastor and vicar, he has been a teacher and lecturer, among other facets of information.
The Mayor of Abanilla, Ezequiel Alonso, stated that "with the election of D. Ginés Pagan as a town crier, the people of Abanilla recognize the human quality, the intellectual work and the trajectory of a beloved person in our town, in Fortuna, where Has recently been named "Favorite Adoptive Son" and in much of the Region of Murcia.
